Tire Tip: A Service of Goodyear™ and Richfield Service:

1. New Tires

Take the penny test. Simply insert a penny, upside down, into your tire's tread groove. (Lincoln should be facing you.) If you can see all of Lincoln's head, you need new tires. Check your tread depth every 3,000 miles. To save money, also check to see if your current tire is under warranty before making a purchase.

2. Know Your Tire Size

All the information you need appears on the side of your tire. The basic tire size looks like this: P215/65R15 98H. Depending on what type of vehicle you drive, you may see an LT (Light Truck) instead of a P (Passenger).

Intelligent Tire: the world of the car is changing

Pirelli presents Technology in Revolution , the most recent and innovative technological systems developed by Pirelli.

Pirelli has always been a leader in the tire industry. We continue to elevate the Ultra High Performance (UHP) technological fields with increasingly specialised and higher performing products.

This is due, in part, to our demanding and ever-growing partnerships with car manufacturers, who continue to push technological advancements in the car industry.

The more extreme the demands of the car - the more Pirelli is rewarded by the vehicle makers and the market. Our name is synonymous with excellence. We make tires that enhance the car driving experience, and the continual rise in popularity of our brand proves this.

Outstanding performance Tires for all seasons and conditions.

Tire tips from Richfield Service:
Check tire inflation pressure at least once a month (and don’t forget the spare tires).

Have your tires rotated every 6,000 miles. Rotation time is a good time to have them balanced as well.

Uneven or accelerated tire wear may indicate an alignment problem,  Have your car’s alignment checked at least once a year.

All of Richfield Automotive Service Technicians are ASE Certified

ASE—Certifying the Automotive Professional. Why is that important?

Finding a competent auto technician need not be a matter of chance. Much of the guesswork has been eliminated, thanks to a national program conducted by the non-profit National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

ASE tests and certifies automotive professionals in all major technical areas of repair and service. With nearly 400,000 currently certified professionals, the ASE program is national in scope and has industry-wide acceptance and recognition. ASE-certified professionals can be found at every type of repair facility, from dealerships, service stations, and franchises to parts stores, independent garages, and even municipal fleets.

Certification Benefits Motorists

ASE certifies the technical competence of individual technicians, not repair facilities. Prior to taking ASE certification tests, many technicians attend training classes or study on their own in order to brush up on their knowledge. By passing difficult, national tests, ASE-certified technicians prove their technical competence to themselves, to their employers, and to their customers. Moreover, shop owners and managers who encourage their employees to become certified can be counted on to be concerned about the other aspects of their business.
